Preparations are under way for this year’s BBC Children in Need, which is televised live this evening. An array of stars including Boyzone , Take That and Girls Aloud, as well as the casts of Britain’s favourite soaps, are to be part of the massive TV appeal.

Terry Wogan will once again be presenting the show, together with Fearne Cotton and Tess Daly. This year’s theme centres around ‘doing something different’ and hopes to exceed last year’s donations of more than £36m, despite the current climate.
