China Office - A Case Study

We were asked by a global entertainment company to create a new product to complement the launch of a new toy. We decided that a new specially designed keyring to reflect the toy would be appropriate. The only issue was that a pre-production sample was needed in London 4 days later in order to confirm an order for 65,000 units.

Our customer asked us if we could make the impossible possible. Our reply was simple but positive. "Yes, no problem!" 45 minutes later our team in China was sitting in our factory with the production manager discussing the brief.

We knew that creating a new shape was going to involve making a new mould. We knew the timelines were extremely tight but nevertheless, with everyone working closely together, still possible. And so we embarked on manufacturing the new keyring.

Only 36 hours after the initial brief, we had pre-production samples flown via Fedex ( express service ) to our client for approval. They told us they never believed it would be possible, and that we were the best company they'd ever worked with. As a result, they placed an order for an additional 70,000 units.
